At Local Auto Parts, we want you to shop with confidence. We work hard to provide accurate product information, quality auto parts, and dependable customer service. If you need to return an item, this policy explains the process, requirements, and refund guidelines.
Return Window
Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of the original order date. Return requests submitted after this period may not be approved.
Eligible Return Conditions
To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- The item must be unused and uninstalled.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging.
- The item must be free from damage, modification, grease, wear, markings, or alterations.
- All original labels, tags, protective materials, and barcodes must remain attached and intact.
- The item must be in resalable condition.
We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these requirements.
Return Authorization Required
All return requests must be submitted by email and approved by our team before any item is returned.

- Photos of the item and packaging when applicable
Once your request has been reviewed and approved, we will provide detailed return instructions along with the authorized return address.
Items returned without prior written authorization, without following the provided instructions, or shipped to an unauthorized address may be refused, returned to the sender, or may not qualify for a refund.
Local Auto Parts is not responsible for returned merchandise shipped without authorization or sent to an address that was not provided by our support team.
Return Shipping
Unless the return is the result of our error, a defective product, or shipping damage, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. Local Auto Parts is not responsible for items lost, delayed, or damaged during return transit.
Restocking Fee
Returns resulting from customer error, ordering the wrong part, failure to verify vehicle compatibility before purchase, or change-of-mind purchases may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
The restocking fee is calculated based on the product price only.
Original shipping charges and any service-related fees are non-refundable.
No restocking fee will apply when the return is the result of our error or an approved product defect.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 3 business days of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please provide photos of the item, packaging, shipping label, and a brief description of the problem.
Once reviewed, we will determine the most appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, refund, or other corrective action.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been received, inspected, and approved by our team.
Most refunds are processed within 3–10 business days after approval. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution or payment provider.
Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you need a different part, we recommend placing a new order and submitting a return request for the original item in accordance with this policy.
